Ok.. so I'm almost at the wear bar on my rear, Hmm.. might wanna stop burning out. So I need to get a new tire, any suggestions on what type? I've been checking some out, but I've never had to put new rubber on a bike before. Should I just go with stock? What brand? Suggestions will be welcomed, encrouaged even. What are you guys stickin to the ground with?

I'm trying out the new Shinko tires. My tires get here tomarrow so I'll post a review of them this weekend. I can get these tires for $180 a set to your door!!!! Yes a SET! This is why I had to try them out.
lol! i would stick to what people know, tires are a cform of insurance or even a safety device.
i wouldnt go for something that hasnt been reviewed by a fair many ppl. im running 207rr's on mine at the mo. will go for supercorsas next if its still summer, not good rain tyres though, so maybe wait till next summer...........likes to rain in england.
but the new 208gp, the succesor to my 207's are supposed to be great tyres and shouldnt cup like the 207's have been prone to.
DONT GO CHEAP!

D207's are crap, get some D208's and you'll see the difference. From spec's alone the Shinko D005's should be along the lines of the D208's. I haven't tried them but the Pirelli Diablo's are supposedly awesome, just don't expect to get much life from them.

I just put a set of pirelli's on my bike not long ago and im very happy with them. They are a little slick cold but get them warmed up and they are awesome.

Just took my first ride on my shinko's. I would place these tires above D207's but not quite at a D208's level. They have a smothness about them that you only seem to get form touring tires too. The bike leans over really gradual and doesn't "fall" over like my old 207's. But I did find the limits of traction where I was a little more stable on the same turns on my 208's. Reasonably good tire...especially for the money. We'll see about lifespan.

:D Sportec m1s for the street/twistys are really sticky; not worth much in milage though 2000mi. if you rail'em 3500 mi. if you ride them. if on sale try em.. :D

Haven't had my R6 that long. Got it with a brand new Pirelli Diablo on the rear and a bridgestone BT001 Racing in front. I'm not happy about mixing different types of rubber. It feels great in the corners and the gripp is awesome, but the front tyre warms up slower. I also suspect it to suck in rain...

PILOT SPORTs
Excellent wear, 4k easy. Great for about 3 track days, easy knee down. Huge confidence boost over d207. Ride Pilots and you'll look back in amazement at what crap the d207's are.

Also pilot's are great in the rain. And decent in the snow. (yes, snow)
